Exile
Ceridwen, a Wiccan priestess, and her mockingbird familiar Belanos must flee the witch hunts in Europe and learn to live in the world of mortals. They have a vision of a ship on a wild black ocean, and know they must find it and reach the New World. They are aided on their journey by an old gypsy woman, who disguises them, and a nun, Katherine, who shelters them.
